Sarah Demeuse

for Amant

2021-23

Initially starting as an external consultant, I defined and developed Amant's institutional voice and style, and made recommendations for implementation across a range of platforms and scales (covering everything language-related, from artwork wall labels to monthly newsletters, social media posts, website copy, or the public program posters). The institutional style manual also comprised grammar recommendations as well as an overview of best practices.

Continuing as an integral staff member, I designed and managed the communications- and publications-related workflow and schedule. Together with senior staff, I expanded digital content strategy by increasing specialized web publishing, launching a bilingual comms program for social media and in-gallery copy, and analyzing digital audience engagement. In addition to day-to-day copy editing and copy writing, and to ensure staff remained familiar with the institutional style guide, I conducted periodic communications/writing workshops for curators and coordinators.
